Chakra
Corona is the name of Fernando Aguinaco's real
time image mixing project on which he has been working
on since 1997, also participating sometimes with other
fellow visual artists.
Using
the highest technology available with the help
of projections, multimedia montages and video loops
that synchronize with the sound, he mixes them with
other loops, visual messages and infinite realistic
and abstract images.
The
real time mixes of VJ Chakracorona are similar to
a DJ's, but with the use of images and different tools
such as a computer, DVD, repetitive loops, MIDI and
software that obtain an excellent response by
manipulating images in movement, he harmonizes them
with the audio artist while intensifying the
visual sense.Chakracorona has
been participating in the musical
scene and important festivals in Mexico and North America.
Cumbre Tajin, a major and international trans cultural festival that is yearly sponsored by the government of Veracruz (started in
2000) located near the TAJIN ruins; it’s one of the biggest city’s of ancient Mexican cultures and also the place to celebrate the
equinox in March. The Festival invites different artists and art disciplines presenting big concerts on a daily basis (for 7
consecutive days), and this year CHAKRACORONA was again been invited to be part of this festival working with Alejandra VJ
GAIA in a dream to project in more than 20 video projectors in wide, different screens and a mega screen over 50 by 70 meters. The
team created plenty of hours of images, loops, video samples, ”we had the best equipment and super vibe working together playing
visual for H Tribe, Café Tacuba and lots of other artists with different types of music genres” says Fernando-ChakraCorona.
Paul Van Dyk and more than 40 artist were invited to this ONE DAY festival that was held in Santa Fe Mexico City; one of the
nicest areas in town, where 4 stages, super audio systems, big led technology screens for every stage turned into a paradise for the
VJ; by far this was the most ambitious production for an electronic festival and all this happened during day light! / more...
Chakra Corona was invited by Catherine VJ Cafrine one of the official members of the TechSafari productions
Montreal to participate in the Summer Festival ECLIPSE recently held in Quebec Canada. Chakra (as called by friends and fans)

the experience was more than just, 4 days and 3 nights in a superb summer celebration where he enjoyed a wonderful weather in a
magical location near the river rapids and lots of woods; he was surrounded by the professional production and made new friends,
interacted with well recognized artists like Simon Postford, Hallucinogen, Vibrasphere, D-nox, and many more. After a month and
